Recognising the value of a solid academic grounding and driven by the pursuit for artistic excellence and creative development, Karl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts, a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts and Cultural Enterprise Management (ACEM), and a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies practice-based (Visual Arts) research, all from the University of the West Indies (UWI). Artistically versatile, Karl creates captivating compositions using various media, including acrylic paint, oil pastels, and graphite. His artistic repertoire is enriched with rhythmic dynamism as a drummer. His diverse talents also extend to self-taught graphic design, photography, and videography, skills honed during his full-time engagement in graphics design since 2006.

Karl’s musical experiences have seen him performing with esteemed groups such as Ray Holman and Friends, Sheldon Blackman and the Musical Warriors, Fuego Latino, and the Brass Institute. Notably, he co-founded and led the Caribbean Jazz band Blue Culture, where he played a pivotal role as a drummer.

In 2018, Karl was afforded the opportunity to participate in the prestigious U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), delving into the realm of Social Entrepreneurship.
